H3 2006 problem vin range

So, couldn't seem to find this in a search, so here goes.....

I have seen things about there being a range in the 2006 H3 vin that are more problematic than others?

Not exactly. The "VIN range" H3s you hear about for 2006 refer to the cylinder head issues. If your H3 hasn't experienced it by now, it likely never will.

Quick question, i'm looking into purchasing a used '07 with 100k miles on it, I was told one of the cylinder heads went bad and was replaced... (vehicle prod date is 8/06) do I have to worry about the other 4 cylinder heads or is the head issue with just a single head on the 5cyl? Much thanks!

There is only one cylinder head. Google "cylinder head"

i have one of the earliest trucks built, bought in July of 05 and have about 50,000 miles on it. Never had the cylinder problem or the lapping compound in axle thing. Just been through a couple of front Diffs.

A lot of 05 and 06 L52 owners newer had the head issue so far. A lot L52 owner had the head issues twice (even with the head modified). I think is a random problem...
