Hey everyone! I made a video on installing an aftermarket "Mynoway" LED third brake light on my Hummer H3T and show how it compares to the factory OEM brake light. As you know, the H3T was only produced in small numbers (Around 5600 Total), so aftermarket parts for it is pretty limited. The upside is that the H3T shares a lot of parts with GM trucks from the 2007-2014 era. I go over why I chose this specific brake light and how these aftermarket lights are usually sold online without a true brand name. You’ll often see the same light listed under names like Mynoway, R&F Auto, or AUYICH on Amazon and eBay. Most of them come from the same overseas factories and are simply rebranded by different sellers. One thing I really like about this brake light is how it updates the lighting style. The red stop lamp uses a diffused lens, so you don’t see individual LED dots. Instead, it lights up as one solid, clean glowing shape, which gives it a more modern look. A lot of older LED lights had visible individual LEDs with their own tiny reflectors. The cargo bed lights work a bit differently. Those use individual white LEDs to better focus and spread the light across the bed. This light has two rows of LEDs that provide coverage and make the bed much more usable at night. Many other aftermarket third brake lights don’t use nearly as many LEDs, which is part of why this one stands out. The install itself is very simple. On my H3T, the factory third brake light is held in with two Phillips head screws. Depending on your truck, you may have T20, T25, or T30 Torx screws instead. Once it’s out, you unplug the factory light, clean the mounting surface, plug in the new LED brake light, and bolt it back in. After the install, I show before and after comparisons so you can clearly see the difference. The factory brake light barely lit up the tailgate, while the new LED light is much brighter and actually throws usable light into the bed. This video also marks the first appearance of my H3T on the channel. I recently picked it up as my new vehicle.
