Inside Door Handle (Passenger)

Handle works fine, but poor craftsmenship on the handle has the chrome lifting up and cut a passengers hand pretty good. Not sure what direction to go. Replace it (which cannot find any tutorials how let alone find a new part) or try and shave it (not sure that will work.

Certainly don't want to wrap it in tape.

Any ideas?

Here's one inner door handle. I googled Hummer H3 inner door handle.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1850252589...Hummer&hash=item2b145d65be:g:6N8AAOSwiWlhLa7P

To remove the door panel, it's a couple or three screws and then prying the interior panel away from the door using a trim tool that you can get at Harbor Freight, or Amazon, etc. After removing the screws (and use a trim tool to remove the trim pieces hiding the screws -a screwdriver will damage the plastic) just pull the panel away from the door and you'll be able to get a trim tool in the gap. Pry near the plastic clips that hold the panel to the door.

Thanks for the response. Yeah that would be the part.

The chrome has split along the top seam creating an extremely sharp edge, wondering if a heat gun could make it malleable enough to reseal.
