H3 Installing 2008 H3 OEM backup camera on a 2007 H3

I really would like to install a factory backup camera on my 2007 H3. I can get a 2008 H3 bumper with the camera, and the rear view mirror. Is it possible to do (1. Is the wiring their, 2. Will I screw up Onstar). Thanks for the help in advance.
P.S. I'm not interested in putting an aftermarket camera on.

I highly suspect that it's tied into the BCM, which would make it a difficult proposition to install like the factory setup. However, if you had those components you could probably rig your own setup and your own wiring. The 2008 factory wiring will not be present in your 2007.

Go look at the wiring schematic for the 2008 on schwarttzy.com

I know it shows the schematic for the backup camera, and I think it's more or less seperate from everything else. You would have to run wires yourself though, I'm not even sure the wiring is there on 2008's that don't have the camera from the factory.

You can actually buy a gm mirror with lcd inside and plug it right in. I have a 2006 with oem mirror out of a camaro I think. Then you add one wire to a pin in the mirror and connect the camera of your choice. I have a camera mounted in my rubber hitch cover. I unplug it and remove the cover when I tow something. It works perfect and I've had it for years.

I bought it from eBay and it came with the extra wire to add and pin. Also instructions on how to add it. There was a forum thread about them in a diff vehicle forum. I will see if I can find it later.
