Probably best to take it to a trusted mechanic at a front end shop. Not the kind of job for an inexperienced DIY'er.

Yeah, if you're changing tie tod's you'll want to have an alignment done after.
If you borrowed a pitman puller from O'Reills, or a similar auto parts store, you could swap all the parts yourself, eyeball the tirods and then have it aligned by a pro. It's not exactly the easiest job for a weekend warrior type though.
IMO, if you're going to do it, do it all at once and get it over with. The Dmax store sells a kit that includes their tierods and center link (which are pretty much the best on the market), MOOG pitman and idler arms, the Cognito support kit, the dmax support kit and frame gusset.

If I could go back in time (and know what I know now), this is the route I would've gone in the first place. There is no point in paying someone to rip into the front end twice, and align it twice.
