Phone light goes from red to green....?

My 07' H2 will be turning 50K on the odometer. Lately I have noticed that my light next to the phone button is going red and then back to green. It still works fine. Just wondering what is wrong with it. There is nothing mentioned in the manual about it and I don't want to take it into the dealer as I'm out of warranty! When I had onstar I remember I called in because of it and they said I had to take it in so the dealer could tell me whats up......any insight would be great!
I plan on doing a handful of repairs this spring once the weather turns nice and would like to take care of this one too.....

Mine has done that twice since I've owned it when starting it up. I just hit the onstar button and once it connects it turns back to green and I cancel the call. For me if I just turned the truck off and back on the light would start green.
