Well, we're finally close to what I suggested when my wife started this process. She's still not to Suburban, but we no longer have a Smart car or a Prius at our household.
2000 Land Rover, HSE
from where I bought it
First step is to fix the 3 amigos, and to replace the head gaskets (easy stuff)
Plans.
1) remove the rear sun roof and replace with a battery/land shore powered roof A/C
2) install two dog crates in the back
3) remove the air suspension, and lift it 2"
4) install 33" tires
5) Install a 4bt or 4b2t Isuzu diesel with 5 speed transmission
6) install a winch and enough recovery gear so she'll never see the dummy end of a tow strap
