Project I have been working on. H3 Trailer

Well this has been a long process with school and work that still isnt done. I still have to replace the front arm and touch up overspray on paint as well as choose lights to go on it and paint the rims black to match the truck. I figured I would post my progress for yall to see though so here ya go! BTW thanks Alex for the rims!

Day I brought her home

Stripped the fenders off and began paint stripping and sanding

Bedlining the tub

3500lb axle in h3 bolt pattern arrives!!

Priming of the trailer and first coat of paint and bedlining the underside (BTW removing bolts and an axle that have been mounted since the 50's is ridiculous with no power tools)

Ya haha welcome to AZ. It also looks terrible because our rental agency refuses to take care of it like they were supposed to

For right now it will just haul gear when I go camping and offroading but if I had unlimited money I would add a lid, roof tent, and fridge. Sadly though funds are very limited right now so it will stay the same for a while. I was hoping to buy a bike to save on gas but doesnt look like that will work out yet as my hours at work got cut. :gaah:

What happened to the fenders? Ideally it would be awesome to salvage some from a 3 or T and adapt them to fit. If not that, I could see some old flat top Jeep type fenders.
I just hate being the guy that gets stuck behind you, especially in Az and catching all of your rocks with my windshield. And it seems, I'm always that guy!

Hey sorry for not posting yesterday had delays again. I wired the trailer up and will post more pictures tomorrow but for now here ya go!

Also I plan on putting fenders on before I go anywhere with it. I'm thinking I'm gonna have custom ones made for it unless someone has spare T ones laying around. Also I did a test drive round my neighborhood and it seems to track perfectly no wobbles etc except at 35 it gets a pretty bad bounce for some reason. Any ideas why this would happen?

So I balanced the tires and the wobble disappeared. Trailer rides smooth as glass now. I also dropped it off at Vigilante offroad today. Custom fenders are going on with mounting spaces for fuel/water cans in front of the fender. Pics on Thursday!

Well ive been studying for this advanced based computer systems test all day but darn it's hard to focus while waiting to pick up my trailer! Good call Nugget I hadn't thought of that. I won't have too much load in this for a while but I will probably reinforce the draw bar before the summer with longer trips.

So looks like ill be teasing you all once more. The trailer was going to be finished today but before they put the skin on the fenders I wanted to make sure there werent any changes I wanted to make. I brought a 35" tire like on my truck and test fit it. It definitely needed a lift to look correct. So now there will be a lift added today as well as a fuel can mount in front of the fenders on each side. The tail light brackets will be removed and incorporated into the rear of the fender elimination the possiblilty of any damage. Heres what she was looking like today. First pic was with current tires second with the tires im running on my truck which the trailer will have soon.
