Brake switch on the top of the brake pedal, about 10.00 dollars and 10 minutes.

Weird thing is... Why would the air intake data screw with the traction control system????

From what I understand, anything that affects the engine performance, will automatically shut down the Traction Control, as well as Stabilitrac.

I’m getting the same TRACTION FAILED, SERVICE STAB SYS . I recall someone telling me my brake lights weren’t working a while back. Ut then they started working again. I bet it’s the brake pedal switch working intermittently. I will check tomorrow morning.

What does your Hummer do while this Stab Sys off code was active? I have this same code and my H3 happens to be in limp mode. Front or rear wheel makes a skirttttt noise when I drive it forward into a turn.

That sounds like you are in 4HI-Lock.

I didn’t read the whole thread, but I’ve had this occur a couple of times. It was a bad battery every time. New batt and full charge solved it. With good battery terminals of course!
