Hummer is alive and well in 2025! In this video, we head off-road with the Hummer Club at Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area in Coal Township, Pennsylvania. Anthracite has more than 8,000 acres of terrain with awesome views and challenging trails.
We had 13 Hummers come out, so we split into two groups. On day one, we rolled with the solid axle swapped H3 crew. These rigs are seriously built. Their owners ditched the factory independent front suspension and went with a solid straight axle for better flex, clearance, and trail performance. This kind of build is super rare, so seeing five of them in one place felt like spotting a unicorn herd. We followed them through difficult black level trails loaded with big rocks, steep grades, and spots your average stock truck has no chance of clearing. They handled it all with skill and a little finesse.
For day two, we swapped over to a mixed group of H1s, Humvees, H2s, and H3s. More relaxed vibes, but still a fun crew. At one point, someone sent their H3 into a lake during an optional obstacle. The truck took on water and needed a rescue. After getting pulled out, we dried out the BCM to keep everything running and he was able to keep wheeling. Just another day on the trail.
This was an amazing weekend. We wrapped it up with a club dinner in town and already cannot wait for the next one.
