What size stero fits in the h3?

I want to change out the stereo in my h3 but don't know what size fits or if I need something to make it fit properly. Does a 6.2" fit?

You're going to have to buy an adapter I believe for either a single or double din radio

6.2" screen is double DIN (full size). Single DIN + fill piece for old school size car radio. You'll need a replacement bezel (trim) and an aftermarket harness to wire up to the GM harness too.

If I remember right, a harness without navigation, was around $70. If you have navigation, it jumps up to around $160. This is just what I remember from my local Stereo shop here in Ohio.

Thanks, I ordered the Sony with a cable kit too. Hope this retains the chimes even though I don't have ONSTAR.

Good info, I used Crutchfield before. One stop place for all that you need to integrate the new stereo into the h3. Prices are a little high though.

So after a little back and forth with Crutchfield because I was using a Visa card outside the US, my Sony head unit and wiring kit are on the way. Their sales reps are very familiar with the Hummer, and have the tools to help you through their chat window with whatever you need.

They gave me peace of mind, I recommend them.
