I researched it a little. The H3/TrailblazerSS/SSR use a bracket different from the full size. The pump to bracket mounting holes are different but looks like any of them will work with a H3 Alpha.

Agree, swapping a 6L80 is a lot of work and money to run a stock motor and suspension. 4L60 can be built to handle more power than those components can handle.

That fix has shown to be hit or miss, permanent solution is to have PCM of NC tune the ECM and they will remove the Passlock. They are a vendor here and you can find all the info you need there.

The torsion bars are not the issue with clearance. The transmission pan is notched to clear the front driveshaft on the passenger side. 2WD Colorados had coil springs not torsion bars.

Interesting to know they made the TC work with computer, they must have done a SAS to get the driver side drop then gone with manual TC.

Bolts and rivnuts that hold the channel and plastic down are known to rust and leak into the cabin. Not a difficult fix, drill them out and weld in new weld nuts.

UCA bolts should come out with only a little tap. If you have new bolts, which you should, tap with a hammer. Make sure the shock is out.
