Hidden Falls November 23-24 Post up

I know there was another thread started by Julie on this but I wanted to start one with the dates on the first post.
I hope everyone can come. I plan on getting there the night of November 22nd and stay at the Quality Inn on the lake. Rates 89 for king and 100 for to queens. I will wheel on Saturday and maybe Sunday for a short while before the trip back to Dallas. Post up your thoughts hope to see everyone there for some great fun. We should maybe hit a couple of easier trails for the newbe's and then hit some more difficult and have the newbe's ride along to see what the trucks are capable of. It would be great to have a group dinner Saturday if anyone is interested. If anyone who wants to get together friday night for a beverage or two that would be great.

Glad to hear the group is shaping up. I think we will try to meet at 8 am and head to the Park. We will have a short day with the time change so we need to make the most of it. So far we have at least 5 h1's a couple of H2's and a few 3's but not see haw many. Also looks like a couple of Rubi's. this will be a great group

I'll be there Sat for sure. Was out there last weekend - the park got a LOT of rain in the past month followed by a huge Jeep event a couple of weeks ago. Some trails are in bad shape due to erosion and rutting up of trails. Just a heads-up.

Good intel and I was expecting that it might have had some good ruts. Are you going back before the run again? Also got a message from Mike and it sounds like he will be there in his Raptor. We also have a gentleman coming who does video to document the event. This is shaping up to be a fun time with a lot of trucks and a very wide variety of trucks. This should be great.

Good intel and I was expecting that it might have had some good ruts. Are you going back before the run again? Also got a message from Mike and it sounds like he will be there in his Raptor. Well we had fun today even though it was just Chris's rubi. That thing is sick especially with the new lift. When he gets bigger tires, no one is gonna be able to keep up with him.

Well, if people still want lite wheeling, there may not be a whole lot of that available other than the perimeter. If people are willing to use their vehicles, only to a fraction of what they can do, there are more trails that can be taken and conquered with spotters. I definitely think we will have fun. And sorry to say that my raptor will not be in my possession for this trip so I will be a co pilot all day.

I'd estimate everything is at least one level difficulty more than posted. Each trail is rated based on the most challenging obstacle on the trail ... the challenging obstacles are all rutted up. There are a few trails that I have done in my H3 that I could not do in the Jeep. As long as we keep that in mind - there is still quite a bit that we can do. Level 4 and up trails should probably be off limits to everyone but the H1s.

Thanks for the heads up. I could not make it for a Pre run . I also know ya' ll will help with the spotting . We will have a fairly large group if everyone shows up.
What are your thoughts on a stock h3.? Is a 3 level still ok for them?

Stockers should be fine on the majority of the level 3s, except for Slither (haven't looked at it since all of the rain - it was pretty tough already) and Toyota (is completely washed out). A few of the level 4 trails have bypasses that allow folks to run them while skipping the tougher obstacles but while I'd say they're do-able, I wouldn't recommend it for anyone that gets nervous being off-camber with trees, rocks and creek bed walls mere inches from their doors and / or roof. There's certainly enough of the park to run to make it worthwhile for anyone who wants to come out including first timers in stock rigs.
