I have a problem with the tpms not accepting the new reprogramming from the dealer. I bought new (used) 16" H3 wheels to replace my 18's. The new ones came with the TPMS installed. I had the new tires mounted and then I got the TPMS error code. Took it by the GM dealer they attempted to reprogram the TPMS system. Picked it up with no error code drove it for a few miles now I get the Low Tire code. All pressures are 32psi. Should they be higher psi? Door sticker says 30psi. So Im assuming the sensors are set for that pressure. GM checked all sensors and said they are working, just still have the low tire code. I guess they have increased the tire pressure in each tire, but does the tire have to be spinning in order to get a good reading? They are saying the TPMS may not be compatible because of 08 vs what ever yr these wheels are. They want to put my old wheels back on and if it goes away they will swap all the TPMS out. Seem a bit much. Any body have this problem?
I have searched and I may go out and try the horn honk method.
