Almost done with the front, all drop brackets are in, knuckles are on, axle bolted in. All I have left is shocks, crossmember brace, tightening up the torsion bars and torquing down a few last things...then its off to the back. Btw anyone that has done this lift how in the hell did you get the bumpstop bracket bolt in on the bottom?

06H3 I took a 1 1/8" hole saw and put a hole right through the face of the mount welded to the frame to be able to get a the nut and wrench on.

Tires are on the ground. I have the front end done. Gonna have to lower the T-bars a tad...around 27 not 26 1/2. All I have left is the leafs which should be easy and to fight with the crossmember support bars. They dnt wanna line up because I tweaked that crossmember before...still totally fixable though. Can I see some pics of a rancho front end so I can reference my bumpstops and halfshafts please! Pics from me later

Btw the 1.5 in spacers barely work but they do...id recommend others going this route to go with 1.75 in spacers...I will eventually go to 17in beadlocks so im not too worried for now.

What do you mean by barely? Do they rub at all?

What happens if you air down and smush the tire over that way? Will it be ok?
I sent you a pm on an install that might show that.
Here is one a guy that wheeled the Mojave with me had done.

thank you for the PM, sorry I didnt get back to you, I have been in the driveway for the past 2 1/2 days...

It is closer then that, When airing down the bulge will be at the bottom of the tire but the problem will occur when the tire is flexing and a rock is against it then it will send the bulge else where. I will try and snap a pic right now. BRB

Thank you for those pics! Just went outside and realized that im not the only one with the bumpstops hitting the damn A-Arm...

Here is a crappy pic. Its dark out but as you can see its less then 1/16 of an inch...

that looks wayyyy too close Chris. hard to tell from that angle. I don;t want to see you end up with sliced sidewalls on road though.

also, you want that bumpstop to be touching the A-arm with this kit. the measurement that Rancho gives, should place you close to the pics that Hunner had posted.

Tim,
I will get a better pic tomorrow. You think 1.75 will be fine? When I called u and told u less then 1/16th of an inch I was serious haha. Btw sliced sidewalls are nothing if u have 2 spares! Lol im gonna get a new set and sell the 1.5s here or to a toyota tacoma owner since these will work for them too. Just gotta decide what size to get

Sort of like a flat is only flat on the bottom? :)
Like you said, I was thinking in some situations the tire is distorted at the front or back and shoves some bulges to the top. Just a thought.

Here is a thought I had after looking again at that first picture I posted. It looks like if that bumpstop extension was turned around it would be more likely to contain the "spring" as GM calls it. Then it might have to be shorter to work like that. It looks like at that angle it is now when the lower a-arm comes up it could shove it out. The guy, had just installed this himself and did not have any problems.
He did have different wheels than stock, just for reference on the offset.
You guys think that over and comment I just threw it out there.

It seems to me that no matter what the bumpstops are gonna hit.

Gotcha.

Are you working on the rear end now or do you have to get those bigger spacers before you can drive?

I got more pics hans. I will post em up and technically I can drive it for now but I wouldnt wheel it. I had an appointment with hatch today to get some measurements for future safari strap products (hes about 2 miles from me) but I had to cancel because the crossmember reinforcement bars arent in. I am gonna have to mess with them and modify them for one reason and its not ranchos fault...Its mine. I tweaked that crossmember before I had UCP on so it got bent out of place a tad. I had problems installing the UCP back then too. I wouldnt drive without those bars seeing you can do some damage if you hit a pothole. I do apologize once again hatch!

With that being said I will have another long night ahead of me. I was working 12-5 today but got called in for a 10-6:30 shift so once I get home I will start the rear then screw with the crossmember bars. Just gotta get this stuff all straighten out before feb 6th when classes start!

I wouldnt worry about the 1.5in spacers if your running 33's heres why...pics in next post give me 2 min.

Chris, do you think if you had 33" tires that would with the wheel spacing?
The stock 33's are a 1" narrower (11.5" vs 12.5") and will aid in about 1/2" more clearance at the UCA. I am willing to take the spacers off chris hands because they will work if I decide to use my 35x10.5's.
